Radiology Appt @20 weeks, normal?

I had my radiology appointment a few days ago and I don’t know if what I experienced was normal. Hopefully someone can help me out. 
Besides the fact the tech was rude she was really putting the tool to push my belly to wake the baby so it could stretch out for her to get a better picture. My friend was there and felt like she was really digging into my stomach and moving the baby around. She told us it seems like it’s harmful for the baby but it’s just because the screen is zoomed in.
After the appointment my stomach was in pain from her doing that. 
Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal?

I’m an ultrasound tech and yes this is normal. We need to get good images and the closer the camera is to baby, the better we can see everything we need to. We also poke at baby to get him or her to move as often times they get themselves into positions where we just can’t see what we need to. You walking around bounces them around more than us pushing, so it is not at all harmful to babe. As for your pain, everyone handles the pushing differently and yes it can be normal to feel a little sore if the tech had to push harder to get the images. Next time though I would advise to let them know if it is hurting you while being scanned. To some extent they can let up but if we can’t see what we need to, we have to push otherwise it is doing you and your baby a disservice by giving the radiologist suboptimal images.

I think it’s pretty normal to be fair,Baba is a lot stronger in there than we all think but is also still quite small.My tech had to press pretty hard on my left side to get a good image of diaphragm & lungs & to be honest I didn’t mind-She was been thorough & ensuring everything with Baba was ok.We actually laughed as I had to get up & start jumping up & down on the floor beside her for a few minutes hoping baby would change position😂Don’t stress or panic & be grateful Baba is doing well.All the best.X

No, just like anything else some are much more rough. I have had techs push a little harder than others but that doesn’t sound normal. Most techs are quite rude at the 20 week scan.
I’ve read multiple comments about it. Luckily I wasn’t having to deal with that. But you are not alone, I’m sure the baby wasn’t bothering just made to move. When the movement is not what they want because they need to check a lot of things at this appt, they try to do this so the baby moves correctly so they can measure. Or a second appt is required and that is frustrating.
