Ideas for announcing to parents?

I need some ideas of how to tell my parents at Christmas! We have 2 dogs who are our "babies", so I thought about making them special shirts to wear on Christmas day, but other than that I'm out of ideas! What did you all do?

For my in laws-we always take a group picture in front of the Christmas tree. My husband is going to set up the camera/timer (really have it recording video and not to take a picture), run over to join the group and say "ok ready. everyone say 'we are having a baby'" and wait for their reaction. 
For my parents- we bought a kids book my dad always read to me when I was young and writing inside the cover "to read to your future grandbaby, just like you always read to me"

I also have two pups gonna have one hold a chalkboard that says "mom and dad are getting us a human" while the other holds a pair of baby shoes in his mouth.

We bought a jar of "Prego" sauce, and will be using baby carrots, baby corn, etc, putting it in a box as their Christmas present, and wait for their reactions

For my first baby I made both my parents and 2 of my brothers coffee mugs with their corresponding names (Nana, Grampa, uncle) with the estimated month and year of arrival. I then recorded the opening of the gifts. Was fantastic!

I got my dad a mug that says the best dads get promoted to grandpa. My mom is getting a sign that says your Christmas present is on back order baby smith will be here August 2016.

We are going to a habachi restaurant and I had fortune cookies made that say baby #2 is on the way that the waiter will bring at the end of the meal.

We have decided to get a empty box fill it with something like a couple books to give it some weight then stuff it full with a bunch of wrapping paper and amongst all of this is going to be a little box holding an ultrasound picture! We figured it would get a couple laughs and be exciting and sentimental. Our parents will love it!

For Christmas, going to give both sets of parents a wine bottle that says "the best parents get promoted to grandparents" on the label. Got the labels off Etsy. When the open it out siblings will find out the news as well, and they have a keepsake or they can crack it open and celebrate!

For my husband, I'm wrapping a shirt that says "Be nice to me my wife is pregnant". It will be the hardest 11 days of my life keeping this secret from him!
