Positive & healing "gentle" repeat C section

James Cash born 8:40AM 10/16/21 by gentle c-section 💙 7lbs 13 oz and 20.5" long. Planned repeat C section is indeed completely different from the emergency route! I had alot of anxiety about having a c section again. My first was pretty traumatic and I couldn't hold my son till an hour after he was born. This time

my care team lowered the drape so I could see him be born, which was such a beautiful moment! And I was able to do skin to skin and nurse in the OR almost immediately while they finished up. Also a spinal block is far superior to an epidural in terms of coverage! There were still some scary and uncomfortable parts (birth is birth) but overall this time was a very quick, calm and healing experience!
