How can I tell if my 12 week old is constipated?

He hasn’t gone in almost a day or two. He is acting like his normal self not crying much but I know he hasn’t gone since I haven’t clean a dirty diaper just pee diapers. HELLLLPPPP….

Breastmilk or formula fed? It’s very normal for breastfed babies to not poop for up to 10-12 days. If baby has a rigid belly, or hard pellet poops, that would be constipation.

I find that my babes poop habits have changed a lot throughout his 16 weeks of life and it’s made me nervous when it shifted to less frequency. Try not to worry if babe is not uncomfortable and even if babe is uncomfortable, do some bicycle legs and belly massage to assist. As others have said, it’s only really constipation if the poop is hard and pellety.
