My fiancé and I currently live at his cousin’s town house with our 3 year old son and we’ve been having problems lately with them getting upset about our son getting into their things and making messes and I totally understand how they feel.

I’ve been thinking about leaving and looking into applying for help with housing as I honestly just want to separate from my fiancé as we are having issues in general or at least I feel as though we are and I’ve honestly not been happy with our living situation and having to live with his family but my fiancé isn’t doing anything to help get our own place together so I’ve been thinking about applying to get myself my own place where our son can come stay with me if that’s something housing accepts. I’ve never applied for housing help before and I live in SC so I don’t know the rules when it comes to that. I only make 16 an hour and rent is expensive even down here.

I guess my question is has anyone else applied for housing help and know what it’s like? I’m just so fed up with having to rely on ppl and feeling so foolish.
