Anyone’s baby in the really low percentiles for weight?!?

Yes my baby is in the 3 percentile. We aren’t doing anything for it. Doctor says as long as she is gaining weight it is fine. They will catch up eventually.

My now 2.5 year old followed a low curve until about 12 months. She was 12 lb 9 oz at 6 months and my May baby was that exact same weight at 2 months! Both EBF. As long as they're gaining and the dr isn't concerned babe will be fine. Plus you'll get extra wear out of their clothes!

My guy has been holding steady at the 2nd percentile for weight since 2 months. He was born 50th percentile and dropped drastically due to a cows milk protein intolerance. I went dairy free and have been exclusively pumping since his 2 month appt. I swap out 1-2 bottles a day with hypoallergenic formula per ped recommendation for some extra calories, and just freeze my extra breast milk. He started purées at 4 months and we’ll start finger foods at 6 months. 
From 2-4 months we went in for regular weight checks and he stayed on his new curve so we haven’t been in since 4 months. I’m interested to see where he falls at his 6 month checkup in a few weeks!
When I first realized his weight was an issue I unfortunately focused on it a bit too much, instead of looking at the whole picture. He is still a string bean but he is absolutely amazing in every way and hitting all his milestones on time or early. Overall he is a happy healthy baby 🙂

My baby isn’t in a low percentile, but as long as your baby is following a curve on the percentile chart and gaining weight, the number doesn’t matter. Any doctor that tells you otherwise is not knowledgeable about baby weight gain. Every baby is a different size!
