How long did it take you all to have regular cycles after quitting BC patch? Did you miss any periods after?

If I got a BFN 2 days before expected AF, and 3 days after expected AF, could I still be pregnant? AF is 10 days late now. Just stopped BC last month. Do I need to test again? Relevant details below.

TTC so stopped using the birth control patch early September. I took it off when it would normally be the "skip" week, got my period about 4 days after taking off as usual (Sept 10), and then just never put one back on. We had sex 2-3 times per week starting on day 10 of that cycle. The patch regulated my cycles for the last year and before that I was on the depo shot and never got my period, so its been almost 10 years since I've had natural cycles. I'm about 10 days late per when I would have gotten AF on the patch. I took a first response early detection 2 days before expected AF and an walmart 88cent one 3 days after expected AF, did both first thing in the morning. Both were negative. We only have a few months to get pregnant or we won't have another chance for another year. Hoping my cycle gets back to normal really soon if I'm not pregnant.

Also why do they have to keep the tests behind locked cages, it makes it so awkward and we don't want people to know we are TTC yet 😆 I haven't picked up another test yet due to this and also wanting to avoid another disappointing negative if there's really no chance.
