False hope?

So I have a question, and I felt like this is the best place for it. I am currently 16 dpo, with one bfn. According to Glow af was due the 7th but still nothing. But today I felt a little gush and could have sworn I started my period. But when I went to check, it was an abundance of creamy white discharge. I've never had this before and everything that I have read said it could be an early sign on pregnancy. I am crossing my fingers (and my toes) that I get a bfp within the next week or so, but not trying to get my hopes up. Any other ladies have this?
