Too similar?

We have a daughter named Lexi. Her name is just Lexi. Would naming a little brother Alexander be too similar? Be honest. We have other names we like too but we want to know how others feel. We would rather hear it now than after we use the name. Thank you!

My nephew is named Alexander we call him Alex and my niece is named Alexis we call her Lexi. Never been weird or a problem for my family! I love their names.

I think it wouldn’t be fair and trust me siblings know these things the older they get. Why is she “just” Lexi and her brother gets a whole “Alexander”?!! It’s going to be an issue. If anything… name him Alex. “Just” Alex. Trust me lol.

Will be ok. Just keep nicknames separate like Alex and lexi short enough. A boy when I was in school was called Alex and they called him LEX. My niece is called lexi I love that name.

I think if you used Xander as a nickname it would be fine! But if you prefer Alex I think the “lex” in each is a little overwhelming ☺️
