Induce labour help?!

Question

My midwife has given me the go ahead to try induction tactics from 35 weeks. I know they are mostly myth as none of them worked for my first 2 babies. 
This baby is on track to be 11lb (like his previous sister!) So that's why I've been given the go ahead from 35 weeks.
Has ANYTHING worked for ANYONE? 
I'm not interested in trying castor oil as I know this can be dangerous. But I will try anything that is safe.

Honestly I think it's a little irresponsible that your doctor is giving you the go ahead at 35 weeks when you're not even a full term yet. Wait estimations are exactly that estimations my baby was supposed to be 11 lb as well and came out 7 lb. It's your pregnancy and your baby but I would want the absolute best chance for my baby and I would wait a week or two at least until you are considered early term and not preterm

Not sure if this works for everyone but may be worth looking into - a colleague of mine went to an acupuncture appointment and was asked if she wanted to be induced.  She wasn’t ready that week but said OK the following week… her water broke during the appointment.
