Is it okay for my gynaecologist to tell me to abstain from sex?
I’ve been seeing my gynaecologist for a few years now and i’m not married. Every time i see her, she makes me feel judged for having sex by giving me high fives if i’m not currently sexually active, and telling me i shouldn’t have sex until i’m married. My friend also went and saw her once and told me that she cried after her appointment because she had the same experience. We are both young and in college, but as a doctor should she really be telling us not to have sex (even protected) just because of her religious values? I may be overthinking and that is why I felt the need to bring it on this app and ask more people.
