How often do you give your child infant Tylenol / ibuprofen?

My 10 month old is a really hard teether and also has been struggling with sleep the past few months. I'm going crazy with the night wakings and decided to sleep train from the beginning again. It was going well, but near the end he started getting his front tooth. Then the other front tooth. Now the two next to those are coming in. The only thing that seems to get him to sleep through the night is giving him ibuprofen before bed for the pain. If not, he'll be up by 10 pm screaming. But when teeth come in back to back to back I feel like I'm giving it too often, even though it's within the right amount of hours apart on the bottle. Sometimes it's up to 8 nights in a row. Does anyone else go through a lot too and what does your pediatrician say about it?

My baby hardly has it in my care. Maybe 6 times over two years. However she may have received more at daycare or with my family/inlaws.

For teething I've only given him tylenol to help sleep twice. Only other times is because he got a fever of over 102 and couldn't sleep. Teething happens for all babies and sometimes its ok to try to minimize the discomfort but meds every night is to much imo.

Ya teething and sleep training together is so hard, and they’re constantly teething at that age so it makes it way harder. Honestly we haven’t used it a ton, a handful of times and she’s 13 months, but it seems like when we would use it, it would be in phases. Like a couple nights in a row then wouldn’t use it again for months since she didn’t seem to need it. Good luck hope you all can get some sleep soon

So when my boy is really teething I just rotate them Tylenol the ibuprofen Tylenol the ibuprofen but I only give him one every ten hours so Tylenol and then if he needs it and ten hours passed I give him ibuprofen also make sure the baby is drinking really good

Yes, when my daughter was cutting her 4 molars at the same time I gave Tylenol or advil before bed every night for probably about a week.

My son has had motrin twice.  Once after his lip and tongue tie surgery (which he then had an allergic reaction to it, I suspected it was the dye in it).  And a dye free motrin when he had a high fever last week with the flu, thankfully no allergic reaction!  No Tylenol ever so far.  He’s 2.  We have used the night time oral teething tablets on occasion though and other natural things like arnica and it always seems to work for him
