Postpartum Sex?!

I’ll be 5 months postpartum on the second of November, and still haven’t had sex with my boyfriend yet. Idk if it’s just me but after having my baby girl and tearing from her birth I feel scared to have sex. Any tips?! I feel bad for keeping him waiting

Girl.  I’m 4 months pp and haven’t had sex since Feb.  Inhave zero desire and I don’t feel one ounce of guilt for not “giving it to him”.  I don’t feel attractive.  I gaurantee it’s bc I’m breastfeeding.  Once I’m done, my hormones will go back to normal and so will our sex life.   The same thing happened with our first born, so this isn’t anything new for us.  It was more emotional for me then bc I thought I should have been doing more, but now, I just focus on myself and my boys.  Things will get back to normal with time.

I have no tips. But I’m 4 months pp and holy hell it still hurts 🙃 go slow use lube and also I would suggest using his fingers or toy to before he goes in “stretch it out”  it makes it hurt less since everything’s “loosen up” a bit.

4.5 mpp and I have no desire. With my first I did end up seeking help from a pelvic floor physical therapist and she helped a ton!! I have a 2nd degree tear with both of my boys so the scar tissue was painful. Highly suggest looking into that!

4 months PP and I can’t even remember when the last time was before that.  It’s not just me.  He’s been having some issues in his hip due to inflamed ligament that’s causing pain.

4 months post partum and my sex drive is non existent, between lack of sleep, not feeling attractive, breastfeeding, my antidepressant (zoloft)  and the amount of pain and how unpleasant it was when we tried 10 weeks pp... ya, it's a no from me lolol I do feel bad for my boyfriend who has an incredibly high sex drive, but im hopeful that once my hormones level out, I stop breastfeeding, and eventually get off my antidepressant (for aniexty) that it goes back to normal!

Not sure about the nature of your tearing, but certain pains should be checked out by your OB. I was fortunate with my first that my OB was very insistent that my pain was not normal - the stitching had not healed properly and basically needed to be fixed again - and got it corrected before we started having sex again. With my second two there was some discomfort after the six week green light, but definitely with sufficient warming it should not remain painful. Even if it does feel different for a bit.

I started having sex again as soon as my stitches healed. Which was 2 months postpartum and it hurt like hell , I’m now 5 months postpartum and my sex drive came back, it hurts still but like a quick pain when we start. I read that if you keep trying the pain will eventually go away and sure enough it did.

Communicate a lot for the first few times. It took a bit to feel normal again and now no issues but at first I was terrified. I went on top the first few times so I had the control and could go as fast or as slow as I needed. But communicating what you are feeling to your S/O is so important so they understand as well.
