Ovulating but not conceiving

My fiancé and I have been trying to reproduce for about two months now. But there’s been no luck (Back story) three months ago I took a plan b after him ejaculating in me because we didn’t feel we was ready financially. Fast forward the next month he got a promotion at his job and felt we would now be financially capable of adding another family member. So we tried during my ovulation period no luck. We fired it was because of the plan b the previous month. This is now month two I took a ovulation test I was ovulating so we did it for that whole week straight and some, I took a test today still negative. I’m starting to just lose hope at this point.

Any luck that I could be pregnant and I should wait until I missed my period?

Oh yeah this isn’t our first child and the first child I got pregnant right away.
