I'm currently at my boyfriend's mom's house. We're visiting until the 3rd because we have a baby shower here on the 31st. A 5 hour drive turned into a 10 hour drive from car trouble and we ended up getting here at 6 am. We we're too tired yesterday to pay attention to everything.

It's currently 3:24 am, 71° in the house because his mother was cold. I'm in my 3rd trimester and it's way too hot for me. My chest hurts and I've been obsessively sweating since 9 pm yesterday. She refuses to go below 70, even after telling her I pass out if it's too hot. (I have vasovagal syncope, meaning my body overreacts to basically anything and causes me to just drop.)

I literally don't know what to do, I'm not going to last here until the 3rd if she keeps her heat on 70. She doesn't have any fans or anything, we don't have extra money for a hotel, and her house is unfinished and under construction so I'm forced to keep socks on to keep my feet from getting irritated.

Update- we went to Walmart when he got his pay, he bought me a $23 fan along with some snacks as an apology on his mother's behalf.

( in which I told him it was honestly fine and I have no control of her household temperature, he then said that due to the factor of his family being from Mexico they're used to really high temperatures therefore I shouldn't have to suffer because of something she's used to and unwilling to put a Hoodie on when it's 80° outside and 70° in the house)
