didn’t know i was pregnant
when my son was born it was a complete shock to me and my other half as we didn’t want kids so i was taking birth control pills and he used a condom but even though we were careful it still happened as any type of birth control isn’t always effective.
since i was 12 my periods were very irregular and i was put on birth control at 17 to help regulate them, help lower the chances of ovarian cancer since my family is prone to it and help my acne, decided to get off them at 18 since they stopped my periods and went back when i was 20. again you can get pregnant even on the pill i don’t know the percentage of it happening but it happens
i got pregnant somewhere in october and bled each month until january which i thought were periods, end of may i went into labour thinking i was having period cramps, the whole afternoon i was in pain and just thought my period was back since the pill stopped my periods and the next day i went to work still in pain and when i was almost done my first job i couldn’t take the pain anymore and asked my dad to drive me to the hospital where i found out i had a bladder infection and i was 4cm dilated and had to be shipped to a city two
hours away since the hospital we have in our small town doesn’t do labour, and since covid was bad in our area my boyfriend couldn’t come in the ambulance and had to ride separately with my parents, waited two hours for them to get to the hospital and after we settled in the L&D room they started getting me ready since i was 8 cm by 10 pm and i was induced around 12 finally what felt like forever for me i had my son at 12:47am June 1st, 2021 weighing 5lbs 13oz he’s now a healthy 4 and half month baby
the doctors were surprised he’s was really healthy for a premie and me not taking prenatal vitamins or not doing anything you should do when you’re pregnant, only thing my baby has is a strawberry on the side of his body.
when people found out i had him they were all shocked and surprised because i didn’t look pregnant, didn’t have symptoms and never felt him in my stomach
