Hubby gifted me nothing for birthday

My birthday was yesterday. Birthdays are very important in my family! But when I met my husband he told me they don’t celebrate birthdays in his family but I told him it was important to me. Well yesterday we were very busy all day long and we were tired and we got home very late but my husband did nothing for me! He wished me happy birthday and that was it. I was hoping he would even buy a small cake or do anything but no. Now I’m feeling frustrated, I know my husband is not romantic at all but birthdays are special. Am I childish for being mad at him?
