Today, my dog bit my 9 month old, she’s done this quite some times, but I’m noticing that my baby is tugging and being rough with our dog, so I guess the normal or average instinct for a dog is to bite. My husband punishes and hits our dog when she does this but I don’t think it’s logical and it’s unfair to the dog. I personally think we should be teaching our baby how to be gentle with animals and other babies. I’ve told him this. I’ve been the one teaching her how to gently touch and pet the animals, he resorts to punishing the dog under any condition. I don’t love one more than the other. And I can’t stand to see my dog be punished for a normal reaction. She is the most loving and calmest pet there is, she only bites when she feels she’s being threatened or harmed. Does anyone else have these problems? Also, is my concern unreasonable?
