Past jewelry thief, current rapper; does he deserve a second chance?

Wa

I came across this story through someone I know in the music industry.

Rapper Tee Grizzley has always been open on his Instagram page about his past involving gang activity and robberies. He recently has become the center of some controversy as he was once arrested for robbing a jewelry store in Lexington, KY and now the same city is hosting his concert through its music and sports arena “Rupp Arena”.

He has quite a following of over 5 million on Instagram and speaks openly about his past and how he overcame it:

The daughter of the jewelry store he robbed in 2014 is blasting him publicly as well as Rupp Arena for hosting him, implying he doesn’t deserve this second chance:

What are your thoughts? Do you think the daughter is just reacting this way because she was personally affected/potential trauma response? Do you think Tee Grizzley deserves a second chance since he is open with his past and has paid his dues serving time in jail for his crimes?

I personally find no problem with him preforming or finding success after the life he led. He didn’t kill anyone, and he served his time in prison. People make mistakes and I applaud them when they overcome them and admit to them. I’m interesting in hearing your all’s thoughts.
