Feeling bad giving charity?

Question

I always have the feeling of who am I to give charity? I am just another person just like the person I am giving to. I always have this feeling of shame when giving to charity or to a person in need. I do it, but I feel bad, like I am no better than them. Maybe financially at that point, but not as a human being. 
Is that very weird? Anyone can relate or explain why I feel this way?

We’ll you’re not better than them. But if you have the financial means to help someone in need, you should. I’m not sure why you’d feel bad about that.

I mean, that’s valid. You’re NOT better than them, neither am I or anybody else. Nobody is better than somebody else, just because they have less money.

If you’re able to give, you should. If you can’t, don’t. It has nothing to do with being better or not.
People in need don’t care who you are or why you donate. They just appreciate the help. 
Are you an anxious person about other things? I mean no disrespect, but it sounds like you have some anxiety that might benefit from talking to a professional.

It’s weird that you’re concerned about being better than them or not. You aren’t. You just happen to have more money than they do.

I think that’s the mindset that you should be in.. you don’t give because you’re better.. but because you care about specific needs and issues and want to make the world a better place.

Charity's work becuase different people from different walks of life all contribute a small amount. They then take all those small amounts individually which translate to a large amount cumulativley and then do good works with it. 
If no one gave. Nothing could get done. It all helps.
