FTM - when to start baby rice cereal? Tips!

My daughter is 4 months old and can eat 7-9 oz  almost every 2 hoursof breastmilk and sometimes I have to supplement with formula due to the amount she wants can be waaay more than I can produce. When do you think it’s acceptable to introduce rice cereal? I’m waiting for her 4 month appointment on 2 weeks to hear from her doctor but I just wanted to hear what others thought/experienced!

Rice cereal is never appropriate it’s been discouraged for a few years now
You seem to be massively over feeding, BF babies never take more than 4oz at a time, the volume doesn’t increase like formula 
Solids aren’t recommended before six months, I think you need to evaluate the volume you are feeding ASAP

Never. Rice cereal has no nutrients. It’s a choking hazard as well. 
Sounds like you are way over feeding. Babe only needs about 24oz of breast milk in a day. So roughly 6 4oz feeds. 
Sounds like you are mistaking baby’s discomfort of being full for being still hungry. She may have initially cried after a bottle because pace feeding want done so she in pain from air pockets. Now her stomach has been stretched cuing her to think she wants more. This is not a good habit. 
It’s really not recommended to start solids until 6mo. Even then, babe should be getting around 24oz a day of breast milk. Food before 1 is just for fun.

Never!! It’s not healthy and not necessary. 0 nutritional value and pointless empty calories. 6m old for solids regardless of what they are, as that is all major health orgs recommendations. 
You NEED to pace feed. That is way way too much breastmilk. 1-1.25oz per hour that’s all. And not exceeding 4oz bottle.

Also Drs, nurses, and nutritionists are NOT educated in breastfeeding at all and often give false information. You need to speak with an IBCLC. Even some LCs aren’t well educated and give false info. 
7-9oz per bottle is just way way too much.

Thanks everyone! I actually called the pediatrician and a nurse got back to me and pretty much told me that she shouldn’t be eating more than 7 ounces every 3 to 4 hours.  I had no idea that rice cereal was bad I just remember my mom talking about it how I had rice cereal as a baby but of course things change that was over 30+ years ago LOL. Maybe it’s just a comfort thing that she wants to continue to eat? She did say some baby start purées early but I’m gonna wait till her 4 month appointment.
 It’s hard to tell if she’s interested in the foods that I’m eating she’s more interested in putting everything in her mouth because she’s teething LOL
