ER over reactions

R
So have you ever taken your kid to the ER thinking something was wrong, and as soon as you get there, they're pretty much completely fine?
My two year old is a pro at this. Last night she appeared to have injured her foot. Her toe was slightly swollen and she had this bright red line on top of her foot, she wouldn't let me touch it, and was holding her foot funny.
So after nearly 3 hours (including a 1 hour nap) of her crying without any relief, I decided to take her in (my husband was at work). She stopped crying (mostly) in the car, and was pretty chill at the ER. Everyone that looks as her agreed that it seemed something was wrong, they took X-rays, and when they came back-nothing was wrong. My husband was able to meet us at the ER by then. As he's sitting there looking at her foot, he says it looks like she has an ingrown toe nail.
The nurse comes back in to discharge us, and we ask her what she thinks (because nobody has looked at her toenail). And sure enough, my child has an ingrown nail from chewing on her freaking toes.
So that's going to be a whole other nightmare to fix.
Smh. I'm mostly able to laugh it off, but I swear the people at that ER think I'm loony.
Anyone else over react when their kids get hurt or don't feel good?
