My husband struggles with severe Male-Factor Infertility. One of the major complications is “Asthenozoospermia” or low Motility.

Asthenozoospermia is the medical term for the reduced sperm Motility in a man’s semen sample. This condition compromises fertility by preventing the sperm from reaching and fertilizing the egg. “Motility” plays an extremely crucial role in the process of conceiving! The ejaculated sperm has to be quick to penetrate the cervical mucus, swim up into the fallopian tubes, to the uterus, and finally penetrate the layers of the egg to fertilise the ovum!
