Belly touching????

My mother in law caresses my belly,
Even though I’m only 8 weeks along (so NO bump yet!)
It makes me really uncomfortable, but she’s very emotional and causes scenes easily so I’m worried whether I should say anything...
Did y’all have this issue??

Wierd lol even my own mother and grandma never did that till i had a bump and even so it was once in awhile

I will never understand why people think they have some god given right to touch a pregnant women’s stomach without asking it’s so weird and invasive just tell her if your uncomfortable your uncomfortable

If you don’t say something now, it’ll get worse. Maybe your spouse can say something on your behalf but trust me, it gets worse.

That’s a big nope from me. My fil touched my belly once and I physically recoiled, never happened again.

If it makes you uncomfortable, I would just say it politely. You can even mention that when there’s an obvious bump it would be okay, or if she could ask before she touches you. My family isn’t lovey so no one on my side touched me BUT my in laws did, I just had my husband ask them to ask me first as it made me uncomfortable
