Astroworld music festival: Houston

Li

So some may have seen on the news about what occurred at the scheduled 3 day Music festival in Houston this weekend. A 3 day music festival was scheduled to occur at the old astrodome site. Allegedly all tickets were general admissions. Poor security measures led to people pushing down the gates and rushing into the venue. Leading to multiple people being violently trampled. Despite this the concert went on. People pushed their way to the front of the stage leading to a grid lock of people suffocating amongst each other, again causing people the pass out or fall and be trampled amongst the crowd. Again the concert went on while ambulances and medical personnel attempted to rescue those who were unconscious, literally performing CPR amongst the crowds. Again the concert went on. The city chose to cancel the next 2 days after reports came in 8 confirmed deaths, 11 people critical who went into cardiac arrest, 300+ injured. Many were disgusted by the event (rightfully so). But, where the controversy begins is those who are blaming Travis Scott (headliner performer) for continuing on with the show despite obvious signs of extreme chaos and distress of medical personnel and security. Many have blasted him as being the one responsible for the deaths occurring during the concert (venue being blamed for those occurring during the initial rush in). What are your thoughts on this incident? As a Houstonian I am extremely saddened and disgusted by this event.
