Should he have continued

I was on a date with this guy and he let me look through his phone then I saw a message that concerned me that said “you know any 16 or 17 year olds” because the boy was 16 and my date responded “you” meaning the boy himself. I mistaken it as something else because when I was 16 to 17 that’s when some of the most traumatic things happened to me. I also tend to believe I’m younger again sometimes to try to help cope with the trauma of what has happened around those ages, he asked me how old I was and I accidentally told him 16 instead of how old I am now. He continued doing sexual things to me on the date then a while after asked to see my ID to confirm my age. I started to question it because if he knew my age but I accidentally gave him another age due to disassociating why would he continue what he was doing? He’s 19.
