To test or not to

So I’ve been ttc for about 11 months now . Was recently put in metfromin to see if it helps . Made me super sick and only took about two weeks worth . I am now 8 days late. I’ve taken urine test on day 3 with negative results. I’m trying not to worry cause I’ve know to freak out and take test daily than I’ll have my period . Should I just wait a few more days and test ? Should I do a blood test instead of urine?

I don’t want to contact my obgyn cause each time I’m late and question them about what to do they pretty much say have faith ….
