What were your differences?

Deborah

We all know that every pregnancy is different but I am just totally floored at How different my second pregnancy is from my first. It made me curious to hear other people’s stories.

My first pregnancy I had symptoms right away. I had nausea, sore breasts, cravings, hot flashes, exhaustion and I was super emotional right from the beginning. I’m not going to lie, it was a miserable pregnancy. The morning sickness didn’t subside until the third trimester and that’s when terrible heartburn kicked in. I was always so hot that I would sleep nude without sheets right under the ac and the fan. I’m so happy my little man came out healthy and strong because he made all the trials worth it but while I was pregnant I was convinced I would never do this again. My saving grace with the first pregnancy is that my delivery was fast and super non-traumatic.

Even though I told myself I wouldn’t, I got pregnant again. And I didn’t waste any time. My babies will be roughly 15 months apart. But this pregnancy is completely different. I have almost zero symptoms. I have only had one or two days of morning sickness. I’m cold all the time which is pretty much my norm anyway. I’m tired but that is more from chasing my son around. I am starting to worry that this means my delivery is going to be brutal. I’m in my second trimester now and I totally appreciate how easy the pregnancy has been. But sometimes it makes me worry that I am imagining the whole pregnancy.
