He should be at home, or should be getting the same time to yourself to go out. Going out once in a while is much needed. Spending every week at the bar while your partner is home caring for a baby is not okay. The postpartum period is difficult for moms and a lack of support exasperates the problem. You need help and to feel supported. Perhaps discuss how often you both would like alone time and find a reasonable way to make it work.

I said yes but meant no you aren’t wrong to be upset. My bf did the same with our first. And it wasn’t just on the weekends. If he didn’t have work, he was gone. All day and night.  Did it for years. Second time I got pregnant, I told him that I wasn’t going through it again and if I did then we would be done. He thankfully doesn’t go out as much.
