Baby food?

My lo is almost 5 months and my peditrican told me I can start with solids- my question is is it okay to give Gerber baby food or those baby nam cookies?

You could also look into baby led weaning which can be started at 6 months.

Our pediatrician told us to start with baby cereal. She suggested oatmeal cereal, but were also gonna try some rice cereal. Gerber has them by age (yellow - supported sitter, blue - sitter, etc.). We’re gonna start with that and then eventually start adding variety of veggie purées

I would start with making my own purées first, then use store bought as backup. I’m waiting til 6 months to introduce solids.

I just stared beech-but baby purées! We will switch to baby lead weaning when she turns 6 months
