I would honestly take him to his pediatrician or a dermatologist because it could be just like when you peel from a sunburn and you just need to wait it out or it could be vitiligo or something else completely different! Good luck dear

What caused the spots in the first place? Fungus? Dry skin? Etc? Treat the condition first and then it will go back to looking more normal after the skin has time to turn over, can take a few weeks.

If it is peeled skin it should go back to normal color with time. Kind of like when you peel from a sunburn.
