I am a mom of two toddlers and have no family around my husband works full-time and I am not due until December 10 I was wondering if I am able to ask for an elective induction at 39 weeks so we are able to find a babysitter and I do not have to give birth alone plus my husband will be able to give an exact date where his paternity leave will start so they are able to find workers to take over his shift being that he is a truck driver at a small business there are not many employees I was induced with my son at 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes but I do not have that this time around was wondering if my OB can deny me an elective induction if me and baby are perfectly healthy?
