When did you get your period back after breastfeeding?

I am 1 month pp. I am breastfeeding/pumping  and formula feeding. I stopped bleeding at 2 weeks pp and tonight I started bleeding and cramping like period cramps. Is this too soon to start my period or is this more post partum bleeding?

I think anything before 6 weeks is pp bleeding but I'm not sure. I had on and off bleeding until 6 weeks. I never got my period while breastfeeding, I got it back 2 weeks after stopping tho

I bled for like 9 weeks PP though. It would stop for days or even a week at a time but then restart.

My doctor told me you cramp while breast feeding it’s a natural reaction to keep pushing everything out. I thought I started mine too and I couldn’t believe it was so soon. Turns out it was typically while nursing that the cramping was present and worsened. But a few of my girlfriends told me they had a period 6-7 weeks PP and a few say it was 9-10 months later. So I think it’s all unique to each woman just like delivery, pregnancy, and babies all together! Let’s hope we get a break for at least a few months! Fingers crossed!

I had a similar situation with you. I’m breast-feeding but my period came back one month postpartum 😒

I was one of the rare unfortunate cases where my period came back almost instantly even though I was breastfeeding with BOTH pregnancies. I think my body just likes to bleed 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s why I was told anyway when I would bleed with my first.

I never bled afterward with either of mine and got my period at 6 weeks with both! It was like I never missed a beat🥴
