I know my family loves me and supports me, but at my shower this past weekend my grandmother who hasn’t seen me in 3 months, the moment I walked into my shower, asked “Wow, are you having twins?!”

This is my first pregnancy and I’m self conscience of my weight because I’ve never (like many first time moms) been this big. I gained about 28 pounds so far and I’m almost 33 weeks.

I was pretty offended. My father also told my mom when I was around 26/27 weeks in a photo he saw on fb of our baby moon, if baby was 10 pounds already, “jokingly” but of course I didn’t take as a joke.

Has anyone else gone through things like this with family or anyone? Some of my friends also mentioned comments they’ve received from their family while pregnant that make me feel a bit better, but it’s still rude… some things you just don’t say aloud.
