Left over hcg ?? 6 weeks PP. 🤨 faint positive

Hey mamas. So how likely is it to get a false faint positive on a test because of left over hcg ??

I’m 6 weeks post partum, i took one last week that was stark negative just to see if i still had levels left over cause i had some $1 tests left.

Then i thought i started my period because i stopped bleeding two weeks ago and and then yesterday had some blood when i wiped, just pink blood mixed with discharge: and was cramping REALLY BAD the night before that. But then it never started.. I’ve been crampy all day but no more blood. I thought it was weird that my PUPPS rash has also returned which is what made me test with my recent baby 5 months after having my twins..

i took a test last night and this morning and both have faint lines on them.

JUST TO CLARIFY

we were cleared at my 4 week check up since my office doesn’t do 6 weeks, and because i wasn’t bleeding he said we could resume. However we have not had unprotected sex without a condom. We just did some foreplay 2 weeks ago and he finished on me and it got on my vagina on accident and some went in , i quickly wiped everything up. I was having ovulation discharge and symptoms around then… My recent baby is a condom baby. As i had just had twins 5 months prior to getting pregnant with him. So we WERE being safe and have only had sex once and with a condom since I’ve given birth.

I am also breastfeeding.. but haven’t been doing it religiously. Have definitely given him breastmilk bottles and tried to offer formula.

My birth control appointment isn’t until the end of the month.. I’m terrified of being pregnant again.
