Is sex necessary in a Christian marriage?

My husband has very little interest in sex anymore and I’m beginning to feel the same way. I don’t want to view sex in a negative way, but it’s hard not to when he isn’t making it a priority.

Hmmmm. I went to a christian marriage conference and an older couple and author said yes sex is important. They said they were in their 70$ and do it because it is the one thing that separates the marriage relationship from other relationships. Its the act of becoming one. He even said he had to see a doctor for “help” on his part in his age. I would say frequency depends on the couple.

Yes and the bible talks about it. You can Google the exact scripture (I can't remember off the top of my head) but you aren't supposed to neglect your spouses needs. Talk to your husband about it. If it's a physical or mental health issue he should definitely look into it. If he's on any medication that's causing a lack of sex drive then maybe a doctor can help with that too.

I think the Bible really shows sex to be an important part of marriage. I would highly recommend your husband getting his hormones checked since low testosterone can have really negative health affects for men long term.

It might not be personally, everyone has different sex drive. But sex & reproduction is a Godly duty in marriage nonetheless.
