Why do men

How far will men go just for sex? I’ve been talking to this guy for about a month and a half, and we’ve gone out on one date after I asked him out. We’ve been planning on hooking up but some extenuating circumstances kept getting in the way. My friends are convinced that based on the things he’s done and said, and how long he’s stuck around, that he is interested in me romantically. But I’m not convinced. Now, I don’t even know if he still wants to hook up. I told him that the extenuating circumstance that was holding us back is now gone, and nothing was really said about it. I don’t really care what happens either way, I mean I do, but I also don’t. I just want answers, I hate games, I hate being confused, and I hate wasting my time, but I’m also tired of always taking the lead with men. I want to ask him (for the second or third time now) what his deal is but I don’t want to make a fool out of myself. The last time I asked him, he told me that he’s a straightforward guy and “would be handling things very differently if all he wanted was sex”. But he isn’t really handling things. I think I’m just dumb and don’t understand men lmao.
