Need advice, tips, anything!…

My 4.5 year old is the sweetest boy. And out of no where this last 1.5 weeks I’d say, he’s been acting out more than usual. I did notice he’s seemed a bit more overtired because he has a lot going on (preschool 4 half days a week, occupational therapy & speech therapy) so tiredness could be a part of it?.. but tonight was horrendous to put it lightly. After finally getting him upstairs (he was running away from me constantly) the second he was in his room we got nothing done because he acted out immediately. I tried EVERYTHING. Ignoring, being extra nice/calm, explaining things, getting on his level, raising my voice, taking things away, leaving the room, literally everything & he got more & more worked up & started hitting me & I started crying. He immediately comforted me & kissed me & asked why I was crying which I then explained because of the hitting, but then he hit me again. I ended up putting something on my phone to “call it” because it was becoming COMPLETELY out of controls. It worked and his focus turned on that.

I am writing this because I am asking for help. Which I am not good @ normally. But I don’t know what to do or if I’m doing something wrong, I just feel like such a failure in this moment 😔 and will take any advice or help if you’ve had a similar experience. Any help at all!
