I had a pilonidal cyst. I had to get a surgeon to cut it out.

Pilonedal cyst.
They are the absolute worst. So painful. 
Go to the doctor immediatley. That has to be lanced and drained...possibly packed. This is NOT a home remedy type of issue.

Pilonidal cyst. Use warm compresses and castor oil

It's a type of cyst. He should go in and have it properly landed open and medicine it will feel better then. They are common and hurt really bad but worse if infected.
