Honest opinion on my engagement ring?

I got engaged 2 weeks ago. I’m in love with my ring! But I noticed I’m getting some weird reactions from friends and family. I don’t want to change my ring because of what people say. But I want to know what strangers would think. Is this unpleasant looking? Is the size too big? Is the band ugly? I’m wondering why I’m getting such odd reactions.
