Elf on the shelf

I hate the Elf on the Shelf!!! I hate that we need to use a toy to motivate our children to behave. They should be behaving all year-round, because YOU will know if they have been naughty or nice. 
(I don't agree with using a belt part, but I see where they are going with this.)
