When to take a test?

How soon after intercourse would a pregnancy test be accurate? Do I have to wait until my missed period, or can I take it sooner?

Answer

I would wait 2-3 weeks to test after having intercourse. If you are tracking and confirmed ovulation then timing is a bit different. You can test as early as 8 DPO but may not receive a positive test till 14+ DPO. Spent can live 3-5 days in reproductive track so if you had sex prior to ovulation pregnancy can still be a possibility but would have to test later.
