Keeping germy toddler away from newborn

I’m nervous my two year old might get my almost two week old sick. My two year old goes to daycare. He always has a runny nose. He has had one since before my newborn was born so it’s been more than two weeks of a mild cold at this point for my older one.

We have done what we can to keep the two separate. We try to wash and sanitize hands. We have had almost no visitors due to colds running around in the community. I have barely left the house. And I’m so mad because I woke just now with the tiniest sore throat. I will be so upset if my newborn gets sick but I am just not sure what else I could’ve done to prevent it. Anyone else on the germy toddler struggle bus?
