Gender guess?

hey everyone,
So I just went to my ultrasound yesterday, I wanted to know the gender but I was told they don't know, I'm kinda upset I really wanted to know. the doctor told me I'm going to have to wait till the 30 week mark! I'm only 18weeks and really wanted to start to prepare...so I'm just posting this pic here..for suggestions

Do they not do the bloodwork to find out baby’s gender in Canada I’ve known what I’ve been having since 12 weeks. They also do private ultrasounds you can pay for to know the gender or like me switch obgyns to get another opinion and another ultrasound

It looks like a girl, but why did your Dr inform that you cannot found out till you are 30 weeks? You are able to do private ultrasounds in your area. It will cost probably around 40-60 dollars, depending where you go.

If that’s the under view of the babies legs my guess is girl! 
Also I found a private ultrasound  place near me (southern california) who did gender scans for 25-45 dollars depending on the day you went and if cash was used. It might be worth looking into seeing if you have something like that near by so you don’t have to wait so long! 30 weeks is a while away 😅🥺

Where in Canada are you? Where I am they always let you know the gender between 18-22 weeks. And there are a few private places that have specials. The cheapest I have seen is $59 just for gender. There is a place close to me that is currently offering that same special for $75, with the usual cost being $99. Have you seen the doctor to go over the results? You can ask for a copy of the report and they will put the gender on that report (in the form of xx or xy). Also, in Canada you usually don't get another ultrasound after 20 weeks unless there is an issue they need to take a look at. Not sure why your doctor is giving you another at 30 weeks. 🤔
