Anyone exclusively pumping?

How many oz do you feed your little one and how often? I’ve been doing formula and breast for my 1 week old but her latch isn’t getting better, my nipples are so sore, cracked & bruised i am in pain when she latches no matter how many times I try fixing her latch she keeps latching wrong.. I am considering switching over to exclusively pumping but I’m not sure how much to give how often.. I pump about 10-15 min and get anywhere from 1 to 1 1/2 ounce from each breast

I have since the beginning cause she had an awfully painful latch! It was too shallow and hurt to the point I was blistering. I had her checked for ties, no ties. So I started pumping and occasionally latch her just to keep that as an option. She latches now! No pain. She nursed herself to sleep last night. I think she was just too small at first!

I have a four week old and for the first two weeks I had the same problem our latch wasn’t particularly painful it did hurt but it would go away after a few mins so we kept at it and now I have absolutely no pain and we’re doing a lot better … I just used a lot of médela nipple cream in between feedings to deal. Nipples are sensitive anyway and you now have someone continuously doing something you aren’t used to … you both have to learn and I think if you keep at it it’ll get better down the line. I’d keep trying until at least four weeks unless the pain is throughout the entire feeding and if it still hurts by then I think exclusively pulping would be the way to go.

I exclusively pump for this baby and also did for my 19 month old. I loved it! I had a ton of people talk negatively about it and say it's impossible, but I found it made our lives easier. My husband was able to help with night feeds and also feed him if I went out which restored a lot of the freedom I was worried about losing entirely. I pump every 2.5-3 hours for about 25 minutes and usually get 8oz collectively, but closer to 12oz first morning pump and last evening pump (not sure why). I feed my baby 3ish oz per feed every 2 hours, unless he's cluster feeding, and I just feed him until he seems full! I keep it simple.

Same thing for me! Anytime my baby girl latches I literally sit there and have to take deep breaths cause the pain is so unreal it feels like razor blades on my nipple and idk if that’s because I have been pumping soooo often that my nipples are literally raw. I pump every 3 hours for 15 mins on each breast but in between her feedings if she is upset or seems to be hungry still I will breast feed her. Pumping is better to me I don’t have as much pain and I can see how much milk she is actually getting and she seems happier too she struggles latching onto my breasts and cries sometimes while on the breast which I was told it is because she is having to work harder for the milk than she would with a bottle. So overall she is happy and I’m happier too. I guess you just got to do what works best for you and baby and what makes you more comfortable. You got this!

I exclusively pumped with my older daughter and decided to start it again from birth this time around. I pump until empty which for me is 40/45 minutes. I have an oversupply as I did with my daughter and get about 8-12 ounces each pump. Since I have the over supply I pump every 3 hours during the day and every 4 at night. BUT with my older daughter I didn’t have an over supply and I pumped every 2.5 hours. 
My little one is almost 3 weeks old and eats about 2.5-3 ounces every 2-3 hours.

I exclusively pump and it’s so much easier for me than latching. I pump for 25-30 minutes to fully empty and get a great amount each session. I pump every 2-3 hours around the clock which can get tiring. Currently been doing it for 4 weeks.
