So I cook for me and my husband but sometimes if whatever his mom cooked there’s left over he’ll take that. And I have told him “if you need lunch tell me” but he never does he’ll just take whatever it’s in the kitchen or buy. But he does it whatever I make for dinner

In my opinion, mamas food and grandmas food is almost irreplaceable and almost a special meal now that he’s an adult. If it’s a specific meal he’s always excited to take, instead of be upset or jealous, why not try to snag some recipes from his childhood? Have you asked him why he doesn’t like to take lunch? Cuz when my husband doesn’t, it’s out of pure laziness lol straight up.

Maybe he just doesn't want to bother you going into the kitchen and is making things easier for you?
If my husband cooked like me and I had the option of eating my mums food I would eat hers all day any day 🤷‍♀️. Don't get it wrong though, food at home is great, but it wouldn't hurt having 1 meal elsewhere.

It gets old fast....I make breakfast lunch and dinner for 6 people and if my husband would  take his mama's food over mine by all means please do! Unfortunately, that has never happened.

There is something about your mother's food that just hits differently. I'd rather My mother in laws food then mine.

No sense in cooking more food when there’s already leftovers. I also think someone’s mom’s food that they grew up eating will always be top tier to them.
