How much should I buy?

How much newborn size clothes should I buy? And should I buy a lot more 0-3month clothing than newborn clothing?

I was told over and over again not to buy newborn clothes but I did anyway. Thank God I did because my daughter was in them for 3 months. I’ve needed every size possible to be honest. Every baby is just different I guess.

Just a few. My little man started in newborn size. A lot of people say just get 0-3 months but those can all fit differently. Most 0-3 months we have were huge on him. He wore newborn for the first 3 weeks  and is now transitioning into 0-3 months. However, we could get by with one pair of pants, a couple sleepers and about 3-4 onesies. You don’t want s lot.

I did not buy any, but was give a couple of outfits from the baby shower.  Baby never wore them because I struggled putting it on.

I regretted how much newborn sized clothes and diapers we had. My son was born at 9lbs 8oz and literally wore newborn clothes for 3 DAYS. Such a waste. Luckily there is a wonderful womens shelter nearby I dropped everything off at since I of course removed all tags to wash everything first 🙄
My friend is the reason I got so much though - she said her son was in newborn size for 3 months so I figured I’d plan ahead and not have to worry about washing. 
So - you never know. Get a few newborn and lots of 0-3. Then if your baby is on the tiny size, buy more newborn clothes online or if you already have a bunch, don’t take all the tags off until you know they will be used!

I wouldn’t buy too many. I’d wait until baby comes. You can always go out and buy stuff after. My first was 6 lb 2 oz and in newborn 6-8 weeks. My second was big 8 lb 11oz and in newborn for 2 weeks.

Newborn is totally necessary unless you have a preemie or an exceptionally small baby otherwise. They grow out of newborn pretty quickly. 0-3 is what you will need more of.

My son was in newborn for about a week, but he was 9.7lbs when he was born. I ended up needing to buy a lot more 0-3 months and all the newborn stuff pretty much went to waste unfortunately

I bought 2 newborn sleepers and 2 onesie/pant outfits. The rest was 0-3. I also ended up with big babies so it worked out for me! I'd rather a little baggy clothes than wasting money on newborn clothes. You can always buy newborn and dave the receipts so if you're baby comes out big, you can exchange them.
