Tylenol for teething

My LO is 5 months and just started teething hard core. She's been a real trooper but tonight she's almost inconsolable. I'm worried she won't get any sleep and I hate seeing her in pain (I'm also breast feeding and have to go to work tomorrow). Ik Tylenol has been used for teething for a long time but I've also heard there are some studies recently that it's not good to be giving to infants? I don't know the specifics that's why I thought I'd ask if anyone's not using it now (and why) or if I should go ahead and give it to her tonight?
