My sister is dealing with infertility and I’m pregnant again.

My older sister has been ttc for over 4 years now. She is extremely private about the whole process and it is a complete taboo subject around her but she has PCOS and is struggling to get pregnant. I have no idea if she has miscarried before, but I know her journey has been hard and she desperately wants a child.

My husband and I fell pregnant 5 months after ttc and our baby girl is 7 months old. My sister was happy when she found out, but told me later on that it is very hard for her and that she would rather not speak to me about my pregnancy /to me in general (Which is perfectly ok, I will give her all the time she needs).

Here is the point: I am pregnant AGAIN. I am 2 months pregnant, and my baby is only 7 months.

My sister doesn’t live near me as we moved to a different state, but to respect her wishes I never discussed my previous pregnancy with her, the only time she really saw my child was when I announced the birth on a family chat. She never asks about her, so I never speak to her about her. It’s as if she doesn’t exist.

I cannot imagine how hard it will be for her to hear that I am expecting yet again. I am at a loss of what to do , I don’t want to hurt her but this is not in my control.

My previous pregnancy really destroyed our relationship. We used to be so much closer and we barely speak at all. She has a niece and she doesn’t even know what she looks like!!

I am feeling so guilty. I know I am not at fault, but I still feel awful.

How can I break this news to her gently??? I love her so much and pray on her behalf all the time that Gd should grant her with a child.

I don’t want to hurt her or our relationship any more.

Please any advice is welcome
