What is everyone giving their families for Christmas ?

My husband & I have a big family but I can’t help pay for gifts bc I’m a stay at home mom.. any advice on what we should give to each family member & how are you doing it ? 
I was thinking adults / couples we can give a 20$ gift card & the kids under 12 a separate gift ? Good idea..? What do u ladies think 😫

For our large family we do a drawing for adults and every child gets a gift (usually under $20).

Im a fan of white elephant with a group, or consumable homemade goods. I really don’t have the mental or physical space for random crap people got me with good intentions. My favorite gift every year are the maple caramels my aunt makes. There is effort, thought, and they are delicious and then gone. Absolutely perfect.

This year I bought wooden cutting boards for my parents and sisters and had them laser engraved with a family recipe in my Dad’s handwriting using the MakerSpaces at my library.
As for my in-laws and nieces/nephews… I have no idea. We usually do books for the kids but they are getting older and I’m not sure what they’ve read or are into as much anymore.

We have large families too, everyone over 16 is entered in secret Santa's for both of our families except our parents. That way everyone gets something and no one has to spend insane amounts of money. For the little kids we are doing $5-10 gifts, personally we are getting shared gifts so both of my BILs kids are getting a Moana styling head to share and my SILs kids are getting a small hot wheels set.

My mom has a huge family. Back in the day (when they all still spoke to each other) she made fudge and cookies for each family to share among the parents and kids. She was a SAHM with 5 kids so didn’t have the funds to get everyone a material gift. Her fudge is amazing, I’d take that over a gift card for sure.

My family we did secret santa with a $75 limit and his family we did secret santa with $300 limit (they’re really into Christmas) then kids are separate   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ id much rather find gifts that the person enjoys by creating wishlists personally but no matter what you’re all adults, id focus on the littles (:

In our family we just buy gifts for the kids. We don’t do gifts for the adults (except for our parents, they are the exception). 
My extended family only does gifts for the kids and then a white elephant with a price cap at $25. They live 20 hours away though so we don’t join in unless we are in town.

What about doing a Christmas gift swap…white elephant idea for the adults? If you will all be together for the holiday, limit gifts from $15-$25. I started doing this with my husbands side of the family and I think it’s a great idea and it’s so much fun…and affordable! That way everyone only has to purchase one gift they want to contribute for the swap!
For the kids, I would limit that to $10-$20z Not sure a swap would be ideal for them and might cause some tears if someone else got something the other wanted. 🤷🏻‍♀️
